The air exchange fan is the large fan under the filter at the bottom of the device. Fresh air exchange is crucial for preventing CO2 buildup and providing proper airflow for mushroom development.
Dashboard Card
The air exchange card shows:
- Period in large text (how often the fan runs)
- Run duration and speed below
- RUNNING badge when the air exchange fan is active
Air Exchange Settings
Click the Air Exchange card on the dashboard to open the air exchange settings modal.
Settings
- Period (min): How often the fan runs (1-240 minutes). Typical range: 30-60 minutes for most mushrooms but you might want more as they go into the fruiting phase.
- Run Duration (s): How long the fan runs during each cycle (5-900 seconds). Usually 30-120 seconds
- Fan Speed: Fan speed slider (15-100%). Higher speeds provide more air exchange but may dry out the environment
Recommended starting values: Period: 30 min, Duration: 60 seconds, Speed: 50%
