Setting Parameters
Once you have installed OpenShrooly on your Shrooly you’ll be able to add it to your local network and access it with a web browser. Even though the original Shrooly was Bluetooth, the hardware supports WiFi and this means we don’t need to also develop a custom app to interact with it.
Log into web interface
After completing the device setup, you can access your OpenShrooly device using (hopefully you noted the MAC address from the captive portal):
- MAC-based address:
http://openshrooly-[MAC].local/
(e.g.,http://openshrooly-040d98.local/
) - IP address: The shrooly shoudl display the IP address on the screen.
When you open the interface in a browser, you’ll see a clean, modern dashboard with six main cards displaying your device’s current status:

The interface features:
- Real-time monitoring - Temperature, humidity, air exchange, lighting, water level, and system settings
- Touch-friendly controls - Drag-and-drop sliders for adjusting humidity, temperature, and lighting schedules
- Status indicators - Visual badges showing when humidifier, air exchange, or heating are active
- One-tap access - Click any card to configure detailed settings for that system
Temperature Card

Shows current temperature with optional target range. When temperature control is enabled and heating is needed, a HEATING badge appears.

Humidity Card

Shows current humidity and target. When the humidifier is running, a HUMIDIFYING badge appears.
Air Exchange Card

Shows exchange period and run settings. When the fan is running, a RUNNING badge appears.
Lighting Card

Shows current light intensity (or OFF) and daily schedule.
Water Level Card

Shows current water level percentage. May display NOT CALIBRATED badge if sensor needs calibration.
Settings Card

Shows firmware version and provides access to system information, network details, and OTA updates.
