Release Notes

What’s Changed

  • Add mac suffix to device name to prevent name conflicts for people who own more than one. Note this now means your dns name will look like http://openshrooly-xxxxxx.local
  • Draw background once, update SSID and IP every 60 seconds
  • Create “Current” sensors that update every second (for making decisions about humidity control) but then a different set of sensors that don’t sync to home assistant
  • Improve the formatting of time to show Hours, Minutes & Seconds on status countdowns and don’t spam these sensors to home assistant
  • Added a “factory reset” that clears the wifi settings and starts over (though this does not return you to the original shrooly firmware). Hold the button by the power switch for 5 seconds then release
  • Removed the use of the hardware realtime clock since it causes the timezone to bounce around. We’re now just using the NTP (internet-based) time for everything
